Candida friendly soup! Simple, delicious & healing Candida friendly soup! Simple, delicious & healing 🙌

As I’m revisiting the candida diet lately with my group coaching clients, one of my go-to weekly meals has been this veggie soup. This is supportive for any phase of a candida diet, including the stricter “cleanse” phase and is SUPER easy to make.

Every time I make it’s slightly different depending on what veggies I have around. This was this week’s recipe:

Ingredients:
- diced onion (like 1/2 a large onion)
- chopped garlic (I like a lot, so I do at least 3-5 cloves or more)
- celery (usually 3 stocks, chopped)
- cauliflower (I use broccoli often too)
- diced zucchini
- green beans (cut in half)
- salt, pepper, olive oil
- vegetable broth (though I sometimes also make this with @kettleandfire bone broth too - yum!)
- sometimes I also add some handfuls of spinach at the end too 💚

Directions:
- in a large soup pot, add olive oil and sauté celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper. Cook for a few minutes, stirring them around.

- add broth and other veggies! It’s that simple! Bring to a boil and then simmer and let it cook for at least 20 min, the longer you cook it, the softer the veggies will be (and the better for digestion).
 
- if adding spinach, add that ingredient near the end

That’s it! Enjoy it throughout the week! 🎉

Feeling suck about what to have on your candida cl Feeling suck about what to have on your candida cleanse? Try this smoothie! I've been on a candida cleanse the last couple weeks with the ladies from my group program and enjoyed this smoothie today.

Candida Cleanse Green Smoothie:
💚 lots of spinach (start with 2-3 cups, add more if you'd like)
💚 ½ avocado (I love to use frozen avocado!)
💚 ½ cup of frozen cauliflower rice
💚 1 tbs of hemp seeds
💚 1 tbs of chia seeds
💚 2 tbs of almond butter
💚 1 scoop of plant protein powder
💚 1 cup of cold water, more for desired consistency. (Could also add almond milk, but check ingredients closely!)
💚 Blend and enjoy!

P.S. If you're further into a candida diet you can definitely add low sugar fruit like berries to make it sweeter. This recipe shows how to make a smoothie without any fruit if that's what you're aiming for at the start of your cleanse. Feel free to add/switch up the veggies, too!

P.P.S. If you love bananas in your smoothies, avocados give you the same thickness & creaminess without as much sugar. Tired of having avocados go bad, or don't have access to them year-round? Buy them frozen from the store (where you find frozen fruit & veggies)!

It's been a week, friends... This past week felt s It's been a week, friends... This past week felt so heavy. I haven't really felt like showing up here, but wanted to come on today to say if you're struggling and feeling the weight of the world, I'm right there with you. 

I dropped and shattered my iphone this weekend. No idea what things are truly backed up and saved, i'm sure I've lost all my reels drafts, blah blah blah.... Normally this would have just thrown off my entire world, but today, it honestly feels like not that big of a deal. I'm reminded of how incredibly grateful I am to have something so minor overall as a problem in my life. I have phone insurance, I have the ability to buy a new one if needed, ultimately I'll be fine. Things could be SO much worse, and are for so many people on the other side of the world right now. 

If anything, I'm grateful for this perspective this week. As I hear my phone dinging nonstop and cannot read a single message coming in (and likely won't have my replacement phone for a few more days), the disconnectedness feels jarring and uncomfortable, and yet, I'm also welcoming this moment to turn inward, to unplug (quite literally), and to just process what's happening in the world along with all of you. 

I'm focusing on the things in my control right now that I know help support my mental and physical health & wellbeing -- prioritizing sleep, waking up early to have time to myself, drinking my lemon water, meditation, etc. Focusing on the little things, so that the big things feel easier to navigate.
